Terms of service
The rules for using peerforge.social. Plain language on purpose, so that people actually read them.
1. Who may use PeerForge
You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, whichever is higher.
You may hold 1 personal account. Organisations use organisation accounts, operated by named people.
You are responsible for everything posted from your account.
2. What you may not do
Post illegal content, incitement, harassment, doxxing or sexual content involving minors.
Promote scams, wallet drainers, fake airdrops, guaranteed return schemes or undisclosed paid promotion.
Impersonate a person, project or company, or fake evidence of work.
Automate mass posting, mass messaging, engagement rings or coordinated voting.
Scrape the platform beyond the public API and its rate limits.
3. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post. You grant us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free licence to store, display and distribute it on the platform and in previews of it, only for the purpose of operating the service.
You may delete your content. Copies may remain in backups for a limited retention period, and quotes or forum replies by others that reference your content may remain, without your original text.
4. Reputation, evidence and reviews
Evidence tiers, reviews and contribution indicators describe facts we can point at. They are not a warranty about any person or organisation.
Reviews require a verified relationship. They may be truthful and negative. We do not remove a truthful review because it is inconvenient, and the reviewed party always has a right of reply and an appeal.
Payment never buys reputation, verification, ranking or the removal of criticism.
5. Payments and work
Contracts for work are concluded between users. PeerForge records scope, milestones and payment status and charges a platform fee, but is not a party to the contract and is not liable for performance by either side.
Crypto payments are executed by users from their own wallets. A blockchain transaction is final and cannot be reversed by us.
Where escrow is offered, it is non custodial and governed by the published contract terms and the audit report linked from it.
6. Paid plans
Subscriptions renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current period.
Consumers in the EU and Switzerland keep their statutory withdrawal rights where these apply.
Prices are shown including or excluding tax as indicated at checkout.
7. Moderation and enforcement
We may label, reduce distribution of, remove content or restrict an account when these terms are broken. Every decision states the rule, the action, its duration and how to appeal.
We do not operate secret distribution penalties. If your reach is reduced by a policy decision, you are told.
8. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law we exclude liability for indirect or consequential damage, lost profit and lost opportunity.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life and health.
9. Changes and termination
We may change these terms with 30 days notice for material changes. Continued use after that counts as acceptance.
You may close your account at any time. We may close an account for serious or repeated breaches, with a reason and an appeal path.
This document is the operator version of a standard template and has been written to match how the platform actually works. Before launch it must be reviewed by a lawyer admitted in the operating jurisdiction. Nothing here is legal advice.
